The GIFT Nifty futures, which is an early indicator of the Nifty50 index stocks, was trading lower by 47 points at 25,065, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a negative start on Thursday.
Earlier on Wednesday, 24 September, the Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex slumped by 387 points or 0.47%, and settled at 81,715, while the Nifty50 traded 0.45% lower or 113 points, closing at 25,057.

Glenmark Pharma: Glenmark Specialty SA, a subsidiary of Glenmark Pharma, entered into an exclusive licensing agreement with Hengrui Pharma for Trastuzumab Rezetecan, a new HER2-targeting cancer drug. Glenmark agreed to pay $18 million upfront, up to $1.09 billion in milestone payments, and royalties on future sales.
Waaree Energies: The domestic solar module manufacturer invested Rs 300 crore in its subsidiary Waaree Energy Storage Solutions Private Limited (WESSPL) through a rights issue.
Piramal Enterprises: The NCLT approved the merger of Piramal Enterprises with its subsidiary Piramal Finance. Following the merger, Anand Piramal will chair Piramal Finance, while Ajay Piramal will continue leading the Piramal Group, and Swati Piramal will retain her role as vice-chair.
Poly Medicure: The company has announced signing a Rs 324 crore agreement to acquire Medistream SA, including Citieffe SRL and its subsidiaries in the US and Mexico.
Ipca Laboratories: Ipca Laboratories partnered with BioSimilar Sciences PR LLC (BSS), USA, to advance a next-generation monoclonal antibody biosimilar for cancer and autoimmune diseases. Ipca will transfer late-stage development, clinical manufacturing, and commercial supply to BSSβs 200,000 sq. ft. Puerto Rico facility.
Lupin: Lupin Limited received tentative approval from the US FDA for its generic version of Bictegravir, Emtricitabine, and Tenofovir Alafenamide Tablets (50 mg/200 mg/25 mg), manufactured at its Nagpur facility. The drug treats HIV in adults and children weighing at least 25 kg.
Newgen Software: Newgen Software Technologies (UK) Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary, signed a five-year master services deal with TCS NV, Belgium. The agreement covers cloud hosting, software licensing, and implementation services, and is purely commercial.
AWL Agri Business: The company signed a two-year MoU with the Solvent Extractorsβ Association of India (SEA) and Solidaridad Regional Expertise Centre (SREC) on 24 September 2025, to spearhead the National Mustard Model Farm Initiative.
SEPC: The company secured a Rs 75.19 crore purchase order from Gefos Solutions Private Limited to supply construction materials for four residential infrastructure projects in India. The contract, unrelated to any promoters, is expected to be executed within 8β9 months and strengthens the companyβs order book amid rising demand for urban housing.
Swan Defence: Indiaβs leading shipbuilding and heavy fabrication company signed an exclusive MoU with Dutch offshore vessel specialist Royal IHC and Indian partner Alar Infrastructure. The collaboration will combine expertise to design, construct, and retrofit offshore construction, pipe-laying, and multi-purpose support vessels at SDHIβs Pipavav Port shipyard in Gujarat.
Indian Hotels: The company has announced signing an agreement to launch a new Taj hotel in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, with 310 rooms, expanding its luxury portfolio.
