The UN Chief Antonio Guterres was due to be the guest of honour of the UN Press Association at its annual gala in Manhattan. He participated in a UN Security Council meeting on terrorism and climate change challenges, led by Niger’s President Mohamed Bazoum.

Currently, he is holding the council presidency of Bazoum. He arrived in New York on Tuesday and planned to stay until the weekend when he heads to Washington.
