Delhi’s recorded 88.2 mm rainfall in January, which is the highest in the month since the year 1901, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a statement. Before this, the national capital had witnessed 79.7 mm of rainfall in 1the year 989 and 73.7 mm in 1953, the IMD data showed.

On Sunday, Delhi reported a minimum temperature of 10.5 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature was 14.9 degrees Celsius. The Relative Humidity was 84 per cent, according to the IMD. The IMD also forecasted a partly cloudy sky with moderate fog for Monday morning, and the maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be at 16 and 7 degrees Celsius, respectively. The Central Pollution Control Board data recorded Delhi’s air quality in the “poor” category on Sunday.
