The GIFT Nifty futures, which is an early indicator of the Nifty50 index stocks, was trading higher by 28 points at 24,855 indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a positive start on Tuesday.

Earlier on Monday, 2 June, Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex slumped by 77.26 points or 0.09% and settled at 81,373.75 while the Nifty50 traded 0.14% lower by 34.10 points, settling at 24,716.6.

Quarterly Results Today: Punjab Communications, Sybly Industries, Lucent Industries, and Padmanabh Alloys & Polymers are some of the prominent companies set to announce their quarterly earnings for January-March. 

HCL Technologies: HCL Technologies has entered a strategic global partnership with UiPath to fast-track agentic automation for UiPath’s customers. This collaboration aims to drive enterprise-wide digital transformation, enabling smarter, autonomous business processes with minimal human involvement across various industries.

Torrent Power: Torrent Power signed a long-term Sales and Purchase Agreement (SPA) with BP Singapore Pte, a subsidiary of BP, to source up to 0.41 MMTPA of LNG from 2027 to 2036. The company plans to use the LNG to run its 2,730 MW gas-based power plants and support Torrent Gas’s city gas distribution network, ensuring consistent supply for residential, commercial, industrial, and CNG vehicle users.

Biocon: Biocon has secured regulatory approval in India for its Liraglutide drug substance. Additionally, its subsidiary Biocon Pharma received CDSCO approval for the Liraglutide drug product. This generic version of Victoza is indicated for treating patients with inadequately controlled Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.

Jindal Stainless: The company has announced acquiring a 33.64% stake in Oyster Green Hybrid One, which is a special-purpose vehicle that was formed in collaboration with Oyster Renewable Energy to develop a 282-megawatt hybrid renewable energy project for meeting the power requirements of its plants. 

Glenmark Pharma: Glenmark’s subsidiary, Ichnos Glenmark Innovation (IGI), reported promising early data from its novel cancer drug ISB 2001. The treatment showed strong response rates in patients suffering from a challenging form of blood cancer, even among those who had already received multiple prior therapies.

NTPC Green: Honeywell has partnered with NTPC Green Energy to jointly explore sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production in India. The collaboration will evaluate Honeywell’s proprietary eFining technology to produce SAF using carbon dioxide captured from NTPC’s power plants and green hydrogen as feedstock.
