The GIFT Nifty futures, which is an early indicator of the Nifty50 index stocks, were trading higher by 20 points at 25,770, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a positive start on Monday.
Earlier on Friday, 27 June, Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex gained by 303 points or 0.35% and settled at 84,059 while the Nifty50 traded 0.35% higher or 88.80 points, closing at 25,638.Β

Bharat Heavy Electricals: Adani Power awarded the company a contract worth Rs 6,500 crore for supplying steam turbine generators auxiliaries and supervising the erection and commissioning of six 800 MW thermal units.
Alembic Pharmaceuticals: Alembic Pharmaceuticals secured final USFDA approval for its ANDA for Doxorubicin Hydrochloride Liposome Injection. The drug, a therapeutic equivalent of Baxterβs Doxil, treats ovarian cancer, AIDS-related Kaposiβs Sarcoma, and multiple myeloma.
GAIL (India): GAIL (India) plans to acquire 106.75 crore shares in Talcher Fertilizer, a joint venture with Coal India, RCF, and FCIL. Each of the main partners currently holds a 31.85% stake, while FCIL holds 4.45%. The acquisition aims to support the revival of Odishaβs fertilizer unit through a coal-gasification-based plant.
Waaree Energies: Waaree Solar Americas, a subsidiary of Waaree Energies, landed a 540 MW solar module supply order from a US-based utility-scale solar and energy storage project developer.
Torrent Pharma: Torrent Pharmaceuticals, the leading company of the Torrent Group, has decided to acquire a 46.39% controlling stake in JB Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals from global investment firm KKR. This acquisition, among the largest in Indiaβs pharmaceutical sector, values JB Chemicals at Rs 25,689 crore on a fully diluted basis.
Zen Technologies: Zen Technologies has secured its 54th Indian patent for a laser-based military training innovation. In an exchange filing, the company revealed that it received the patent titled βSingle ILU Long Pass Filter,β which enhances its military training systems portfolio.
NTPC Green Energy: NTPC Green Energy has commenced commercial operations for two solar capacities in Gujarat. It activated 142.2 MW out of the 300 MW Khavda Solar Energy Project, part of the 450 MW Hybrid Tranche V Project. Additionally, it began commercial operations for 146.7 MW of the 1,255 MW Khavda-I Solar PV Project, developed by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), its step-down subsidiary.
Prestige Estates Projects: Prestige Estates and Arihant Group, through their joint venture Canopy Living LLP, agreed to acquire a 3.48-acre land parcel in Velachery, Chennai. The 7.5 lakh sq. ft. project carries a gross development value of over Rs 1,600 crore.
