Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky informed that on Tuesday, Russian forces had destroyed a third of Ukrainian power stations in repeated strikes that targeted energy infrastructure.
On Twitter, Ukrainian President Zelensky informed that since October 10, 30 per cent of Ukrain power stations has destroyed in Russia’s repeated air strikes, which has caused a massive blackout across the country. Moreover, condemning the air strike, he twitted that there is no space left for negotiation with President Vladimir) Putin’s regime.
On Tuesday, Several Ukrainian regions, including the capital Kyiv, experienced a power cut after multiple strikes targeted energy facilities, local officials, and agencies.
Regions such as Zhytomyr, located in the west of Kyiv, and parts of Dnipro city in central Ukraine were without electricity, while power was restored to the southern city of Mykolaiv after strikes overnight.
The damage from these airstrikes was ruinous, with cities across the country temporarily losing power. DTEK’s Ladyzhinska thermal power plant (TPP) was among the many to suffer a direct air strike. Several combined heating and power plants (CHPPs) also suffered from the blitz. Twelve substations were damaged across Khmelnytskyi, Kyiv, Zhytomyr Lviv, Sumy, Mykolaiv, and Poltava regions.
