Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL) has received a contract worth Rs 198 crore for constructing the Bhesan Depot and workshop from Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC).

This work order requires the construction of Bhesan Warehouse and Workshop, including DDC, BCC, and Associated Electromechanical (E&M) Works under Corridor – C2, Bhesan to Saroli for Phase 1 of Surat Metro Project DC 2. The order will be enforced within 20 months.
To engage in the business of implementing various types of Rail infrastructure projects assigned by the Ministry of Railways, including gauge conversion, doubling (including 3rd/4th lines), railway electrification, new lines, workshops, Production Units, significant bridges, and sharing of freight revenue with Railways according to the concession agreement entered into with Ministry of Railway.
On a consolidated basis, the net profit rose 36.5% to Rs 381.22 crore on a 21.9% rise in net sales to Rs 4,908.90 crore on September 2022 over September 2021.
