The GIFT Nifty futures, which is an early indicator of the Nifty50 index stocks, was trading lower by 16 points at 24,845 indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a negative start on Friday.
Earlier on Thursday, 5 June, Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex surged by 444 points or 0.55% and settled at 81,442 while the Nifty50 traded 0.53% higher by 131 points, settling at 24,751.

Ashoka Buildcon: Ashoka Buildcon secured Letters of Intent worth Rs 1,387.2 crore from Maharashtra’s Motor Vehicles Department for six regional circles that are Nagpur, Mumbai, Pune, Marathwada, Konkan, and Western Maharashtra. The project includes designing, implementing, integrating, operating, and maintaining an intelligent traffic management system across various stretches for the next 10 years.
JSW Energy: JSW Energy commissioned 281 MW of new renewable energy capacity, 215 MW solar and 66 MW wind, bringing its total installed capacity to 12,499 MW. Additionally, its subsidiary, JSW Renew Energy Three, signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement with Adani Electricity Mumbai to supply 250 MW of wind power at a tariff of Rs 3.65/kWh. The Maharashtra-based project is slated for completion within 24 months.
Praj Industries: Paraguay-based renewable energy firm Enersur S.A. has chosen Praj Industries to lead the development, evaluation, and phased execution of a biorefinery project in Paraguay.
Coal India: The company has announced inking a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Port Rail & Ropeway Corporation for developing rail infrastructure for the company and its subsidiaries.
NTPC Green Energy: The company has announced that it has started operations at the first 110.25 megawatts of the 1,255 MW Khavda-I Solar PV project, a subsidiary of NTPC Renewable Energy.
Zaggle Prepaid Ocean Services: The company has announced securing approval to acquire a 100% stake in Greenedge Enterprises from its current shareholders for a total consideration of Rs 27 crore.
Tejas Networks: The company has announced securing an order worth Rs 123 crore under the Product Linked Incentive Scheme from the Department of Telecommunications for telecom and networking products.
Nila Spaces: Nila Urban Living, a subsidiary of the company, has awarded a construction contract worth Rs 129.25 crore to the company for its upcoming premium residential development at GIFT City to Riveria Infrastructures, which is scheduled to be completed in 27 months.
