The GIFT Nifty futures, which are an early indicator of the Nifty50 index, were trading lower by 47.5 points at 24,667, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a negative start on Thursday.
On Wednesday, 14 May, Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex gained by 182.34 points or 0.22%, and settled at 81,330.56, while the Nifty50 traded 0.36% higher by 88.55 points, settling at 24,666.90.

Kalpataru Projects: The company has announced that it is securing new orders worth Rs 2,372 crore from its power transmission and distribution (T&D) and building and factory businesses.
Brigade Enterprises: The company has announced acquiring a 5.41-acre land parcel in Chennai to develop a premium residential project that will have a total development potential of 0.8 million sq ft and a gross development value of around Rs 1,600 crore.Β
Torrent Power: In its quarterly earnings for January-March, the company reported a 141% year-on-year (YoY) increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 1,077.22 crore for the quarter under review compared to Rs 447.04 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year.Β
Wendt India: Parent company Wendt Gmbh, Germany, is set to divest up to a 37.5% stake in Wendt (India), including a 7.5% green shoe option, through an offer-for-sale (OFS) on 15- 16 May. The floor price for the OFS has been set at Rs 6,500 per share. The sale will open to non-retail investors on 15 May and to retail investors on 16 May.
Marksans Pharma: The company’s subsidiary in the UK, Relonchem, has announced that it is securing marketing approval from the UK Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency for its Gabapentin 50 mg/ml oral solution.Β
Wipro: The company has announced entering into a digital transformation partnership with Hachette UK (HUK), a prominent publishing group based in the UK. As part of the collaboration, Wipro will help modernise HUK’s IT infrastructure by deploying SAP S/4HANA.
Shilpa Medicare: Shilpa Pharma Lifesciences, a subsidiary of Shilpa Medicare, has received an Establishment Inspection Report (EIR) from the USFDA for its Unit-1 facility. The site was classified as “Voluntary Action Indicated” (VAI) following an inspection conducted from 3 March to 7 March.
