The GIFT Nifty futures, which are an early indicator of the Nifty50 index, were trading lower by 59 points at 24,373, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a lacklustre start on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, 6 May, Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex slumped by 155.77 points or 0.19%, and settled at 80,641.07, while the Nifty50 traded 0.33% lower by 81.55 points, settling at 24,379.60.

Here are some stocks that are likely to remain in focus on 7 May.

Quarterly Results Today: Coal India, Punjab National Bank, CarTrade Tech, Dabur India, APL Apollo Tubes, Blue Star, Housing & Urban Development Corporation, Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers, Sapphire Foods India, Satin Creditcare Network, MRF, Niva Bupa Health Insurance Company, Sonata Software, Symphony, Wonderla Holidays, United Breweries, Voltas, and Tata Chemicals are some of the prominent companies set to announce their quarterly earnings for January-March. 

KPIT Technologies: The company has announced acquiring Caresoft Global’s Engineering Solutions business for a total consideration of $191 million that will drive the company’s growth into the truck and off-highway engineering solutions sector and accelerate the company’s entry into the Chinese market.

NLC India: The company announced inking a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IREL (India) to cooperate and collaborate on the development of mutually agreed assets of critical minerals, which includes rare earth elements.Β 

GP Petroleums: The company has announced a joint venture agreement with West Coast Oils LLP to establish a JV company to manufacture and trade speciality bitumen products and other allied commodities.

BSE: In its quarterly earnings for January-March, the company reported a 364% year-on-year (YoY) increase in net profit to Rs 493.04 crore for the quarter under review compared to Rs 106.16 crore reported in the same quarter last year.Β 

Godrej Consumer Products: For the quarter ended 30 March, the company reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 412 crore for the quarter against Rs 1,893 crore net loss reported in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year.

Paytm: The company’s net loss during the Q4FY25 narrowed to Rs 539.80 crore against Rs 549.60 crore net loss reported in the same quarter of the previous financial year.Β 

Shriram Finance: The Board of Directors of the company have approved acquiring 31.66 lakh equity shares of Shriram Overseas Investments for a total consideration of Rs 50.11 crore from Shriram Investments Holdings.Β 

GMDC: Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation has announced signing a long-term supply agreement with City Gold Pipers, which is a consortium of Goldcrest Cement and Kailash Darshan Housing Development. The contract is for the supply of 150 million tonnes of limestone for a period of 40 years.
