The GIFT Nifty futures, which is an early indicator of the Nifty50 index, were trading higher by 3 points at 24,564, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a lacklustre start on Tuesday.
On Monday, 5 May, Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex Gained by 295 points or 0.37%, and settled at 80,797 while the Nifty50 traded 0.47% higher by 114.45 points, settling at 24,461.

Swiggy: The company has announced the closing of its hyperlocal delivery service, Genie in multiple cities, which was launched in 2020. When at its peak, the service operated in around 60 cities, but struggled to scale or generate meaningful revenue.Β
Glenmark Pharma: The subsidiary of the company, Ichnos Glenmark Innovation has announced that the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) has approved βfast trackβ designation to ISB 2001, its investigational therapy for multiple myeloma.
Paras Defence: The company has announced that it is inking a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with HevenDrones Ltd to explore opportunities in the defence and civil drone markets. As a part of the MoU, both companies will establish a joint venture (JV) in India, aiming to develop and manufacture logistics and cargo drones.Β
Tata Consultancy Services: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has reduced the variable pay for its senior-level staff for the JanuaryβMarch quarter. This is the third consecutive quarter in which Indiaβs largest IT services firm has trimmed variable payouts for certain employees.
Indian Hotels Company: In its quarterly earnings for January-March, the company reported a 28.4% year-on-year (YoY) increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 562.22 crore compared to Rs 438.33 crore reported in the same quarter last year.Β
DCM Shriram: For the quarter ended 30 March, the companyβs consolidated net profit stood at Rs 178.91 crore, marking a 52% YoY increase against Rs 117.80 crore reported in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year.Β
Senores Pharmaceuticals: The company, via its fully-owned US subsidiary Senores Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (SPI), has entered into an agreement to acquire the USFDA-approved Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) for Topiramate HCl tablets in 25, 50, 100, and 200 mg strengths from Wockhardt Limited.
Cyient: Cyient Inc., the US-based wholly-owned subsidiary of Cyient, has received a notice from the US Department of the Treasury, Internal Revenue Service (IRS), imposing a penalty of $26,779.74 related to an Employer Shared Responsibility Payment (ESRP).
