The GIFT Nifty futures, which is an early indicator of the Nifty50 index stocks, was trading higher by 2 points at 24,731 indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a positive start on Thursday.

Earlier on Wednesday, 4 June, Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex surged by 260.74 points or 0.32% and settled at 80,998.25 while the Nifty50 traded 0.32% higher by 77.70 points, settling at 24,620.20.

Here are some stocks that are likely to remain in focus on 5 June.

Quarterly Results Today: Lords Chemicals, Panth Infinity, Allied Digital Services, GK Consultants, and Riga Sugar Company are some of the prominent companies set to announce their quarterly earnings for January-March. 

Newgen Software: The company has announced securing an international order worth $2.5 million from a customer for supplying the company’s product at its implementation for the customer’s digital transformation across multiple lines of business.

Bharat Electronics: Bharat Electronics, a Navratna defence PSU, announced on Wednesday that it has secured fresh orders worth Rs 537 crore since its last update on 16 May 2025. The new contracts include supplies of communication equipment, advanced shipborne composite communication systems, jammers, software, simulator upgrades, spares, test rigs, and associated services.

NTPC Green Energy: NTPC Green Energy, a subsidiary of NTPC, secured 1,000 MW capacity in Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited’s (UPPCL) solar PV power project auction. The company has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) at a discovered tariff of Rs 2.56 per kWh.

Gland Pharma: The company announced that its material subsidiary, Cenexi, has received the final inspection report from France’s drug regulator, ANSM (Agence Nationale de sΓ©curitΓ© du mΓ©dicament et des produits de santΓ©), highlighting 11 observations regarding Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) compliance at its Fontenay manufacturing site.

Vedanta: The company has expanded its round-the-clock renewable energy capacity to 1.03 GW through power delivery agreements. The company is steadily progressing toward its goal of reaching 2.5 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030, in line with its broader commitment to achieve net zero emissions by 2050 or earlier. Its green energy portfolio includes a combination of wind, solar, and pumped storage technologies.

KEC International: The company has announced securing new orders worth Rs 2,211 crore from its transmission and distribution, oil and gas pipeline, and cables businesses vertical.Β 

Power Grid Corporation of India: The company has announced acquiring MEL Power Transmission, which is the project’s special purpose vehicle, for a total consideration of Rs 8.5 crore. The SPV is for setting up a transmission system for the evacuation of power from the Mahan Energen generating station in Madhya Pradesh.
